On Sunday night, Chatham-Kent police responded to a disturbance in a parking lot on Canal Street West in Tilbury.
Police learned one man had allegedly assaulted another.
The 30-year-old Tilbury man was arrested. Upon arrest, a controlled substance was reportedly found on him. The man was charged with two counts of assault and possession of a controlled substance. He was released with a short date.
Man arrested for impaired driving
Police responded to a driving complaint on Richmond Street in Chatham on Sunday night.
After police administered a roadside screening device, the man was arrested and taken to headquarters for further breath tests.
The 30-year-old Raleigh Township man was charged with having a blood-alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He was released with a short date.
