It was Wednesday as the governor Anna Kinberg Batra and her husband David Batra opened the doors to his home in the Ticino Palace in Old Town. Batra’s second county dinner was arranged there.
The king was there Carl XVI Gustaf and queen Silviabut also media profiles such as the sports journalist Patrick Ekwall and the fashion profile Susanne Ljung. Invited to the festivities was also Pernilla wahlgren55.

– I think mixing people with different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences is both very fun and rewarding. It is in such constellations that interesting conversations, ideas and new insights arise, said Anna Kinberg Batra in a statement about the party.
In the podcast Wahlgren & Wistam that Pernilla has with her best friend Sofia Wistam that’s how Pernilla tells about the evening, where there was a really classic goose dinner consisting of black soup as a starter, goose breast as a main course and a dessert consisting of apple terrine.

In the podcast, Pernilla says that she was out at the last second when it came to deciding what to wear.
– Dress code was just a tuxedo dinner. With my foresight, I had as much time as I wanted. Half an hour before I have to call a taxi, I start…I think it’s a good idea, to go into my dressing room and see what I’m going to wear tonight. Couldn’t I have started a little earlier?, Pernilla asks herself in the podcast.

– Tuxedo, tuxedo…I wear a long dress. So I pull out all the long dresses I have. And a long dress in Pernilla Wahlgren’s world is very long. So I can’t just buy a long dress and wear it, then it’s two meters long. So I stood there with scissors and cut the tulle completely hysterically, saying “damn this is too long”, says Pernilla.
Pernilla Wahlgren is 156 centimeters tall, so yes – this long dress thing can simply be a bit of a pain for the artist.
Dress code: Tuxedo dinner – so Pernilla Wahlgren chose a short dress
Pernilla thought a little more, and decided not to wear a long dress as she was afraid of feeling overdressed.
– I don’t want to come in a long dress and be “too much” and everyone else is in little cocktail dresses. Because you can wear that to a tuxedo dinner. And it was so stressful and it was so crazy. And I was so nervous that I would arrive later than the king and queen, she says in her podcast.
After trying on a bunch of different long dresses, Pernilla gave up and bet on a safe card.
– I took a little red dress. Then in the taxi I started thinking “but God I’m barefoot”, can you be that with the king and queen?. Someone wrote on Instagram that the dress should be above the knees, but I think my dress was, says Pernilla.
On The county board’s website there are now pictures from the festivities, and one picture shows that Pernilla’s dress does not actually go down above the knees – but what does that do?
