In Bamenyam, life has not returned to normal. At the village market, which has remained closed since the killing, the images of the burned shops recall the horror. Schools have also remained closed since this Black Tuesday.

For the moment, school is interrupted until Monday, because we are observing to see if activities will resume. It’s slowing down, given the panic following what happened in Bamenyam and the false rumors in the town of Galim yesterday [vendredi 24 novembre] », Explains Hilaire Mekueh, head of the Bamenyam vigilance committee.

For the record, nine people were killed in Bamenyam and around ten others kidnapped on Tuesday, November 21.
