The last weekend of November offers cold, cold and more cold.
And the cold weather is here to stay.
– Cold air rushes south and eventually blankets the entire country with mainly sub-zero temperatures, says TV4 Nyhetern’s meteorologist Ulrika Elvgren.
Friday’s snowy and cold weather has caused major problems in traffic in southern Sweden. During the evening and night, low temperatures may continue to cause problems for road users.
– The temperature drops further and even the last wet road sections freeze to ice during Friday evening, says Ulrika Elvgren.
Those who were hoping for a warmer weekend now have to think again.
– Cold air rushes south and eventually covers the whole country with mainly sub-zero temperatures, says the meteorologist.
“Will feel significantly colder”
During Saturday, it is also expected to be windy in several parts of Sweden.
– It will feel significantly colder outside than what the thermometer shows, says Ulrika Elvgren.
Stronger snow flurries will move in above all in Uppland and Gotland, which can lead to major traffic disruptions locally.
On Sunday, the wind subsides somewhat, but in eastern Svealand and eastern Götaland there may be snow flurries. Snowfall can also become a reality in some areas along the Norrland coast and southwest of Vänern and Vättern.
The cold looks like it will last all the way into December.
– The cold air looks like it’s here to stay for the next week and more continuous snowfall areas are predicted to target the country from the southeast, says Ulrika Elvgren.
