Uefa considered that the Georgian men’s national futsal team also played players without representation rights in their World Cup qualifying matches against Finland.
In October, the Finnish Football Federation made a protest about the Georgian national team’s players without representation rights after the World Cup qualifying matches between both countries.
Uefa accepted Finland’s objections and the final results of both matches are decided in Finland’s favor with readings of 5–0.
Finland suffered a 2-5 defeat in the match played in Tbilisi on October 7, and in the home match played in Turku on October 11, Finland played 3-3 with Georgia.
Finland had previously also objected to Armenia’s players not having representation rights in the World Cup qualifying match played on September 20. Uefa accepted this objection on 10 October. Armenia appealed against Finland’s protest, but Uefa rejected this appeal.
Objections related to players without representation rights significantly changed the situation in Group E, as Finland rose to a clear second place and Georgia fell to third place. The objections submitted by Portugal for their matches against Armenia were also accepted.
In the remaining qualifying matches, Finland will face Portugal away on December 15 and Armenia at home on December 20.

The winners of the group go directly to the WC final tournament. The four best teams from group two will play a two-part qualifying round in April 2024, which opens up two more places for the World Cup final tournament to be played in Uzbekistan in the fall of 2024.
