Exciting thriller entertainment on TV: Kevin Costner chases a myth in JFK for three hours
It falls on November 22, 1963 US President John F. Kennedy (JFK for short) in the Texas city of Dallas Assassination attempt to the victim. Ex-Marine and sniper Lee Harvey Oswald (Gary Oldman) is arrested for the crime. District Attorney Jim Garrison (Kevin Costner) and his team begin investigating a possible connection in New Orleans.
But the government is putting a stop to its further search for clues. Garrison was only able to resume his investigation in 1966, when the Inconsistencies in witness statements and gunshot investigations pile up. Can only one perpetrator and one bullet really be responsible for JFK’s death?
In his 3-hour thriller JFK, Oliver Stone addressed a question that has preoccupied America since 1963: Was only a single perpetrator really responsible for the assassination of John F. Kennedy or was it ultimately the hand of high-ranking members of the government? There is still no final answer to this day. But there is a film recording of the terrible event collective American trauma and many of the clues from the investigation eventually became public, people are still puzzling to this day about what really happened back then.
JFK: Tatort Dallas with Kevin Costner won two Oscars in 1991 as a suspenseful thriller (Best Editing and Best Cinematography, although not Best Film) and contributed to conspiracy theories to fire up. Just like the American moon landing, many question the historical portrayal of the presidential attack. JFK – Tatort Dallas, sometimes referred to as John F. Kennedy – Tatort Dallas, is on today Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023 at 8:15 p.m. on Kabel eins. The station will show the repeat on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at 2:55 a.m. The 188-minute theatrical version is shown on TV and not the 205-minute director’s cut.
