Seems like a very bad deal for Hamas

– If you look at it completely, it looks like a very bad deal for Hamas.

That’s what Israel expert Anders Persson says about the cease-fire settlement in the Gaza war.

Persson thinks that Hamas seems to have gotten surprisingly little out of the negotiations that have been going on for several weeks.

– The ratio of prisoners they are allowed to release is 1 to 3, which is much worse than it usually is.

The aid that will be allowed into Gaza is also not large in the context.

– The humanitarian aid is 300 trucks or something like that, it corresponds to 3 days of consumption.

Persson points out, however, that there is much we do not know about the settlement. There may be parts that are not made public.

– It is unclear, based on open sources, whether there are secret clauses or informal agreements in this.
