OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) is a form of intelligence based on open sources. And the discipline is exploding: it has its training, its specialties and its recognized practitioners.
Companies want to understand their competition, their environment and anticipate the actions of their opponents, such as certain environmental movements, or various armed groups. Sometimes, it is necessary to monitor, or even infiltrate, the Telegram or WhatsApp loops which serve as exchange networks and also propaganda.
In this episode of Control-F, Alexis Pinon, who heads the OSINT cell at Forward – a large economic intelligence firm – demonstrates to us the effectiveness of open intelligence.
