Hamas and Israel agree on a temporary ceasefire and the release of a number of hostages taken by Hamas.
The Israeli government approved the agreement after a meeting on the night of Wednesday Swedish time.
The settlement means that around 50 people in the Hamas hostages will be released in exchange for Israel agreeing to a four-day pause in the fighting.
