The comedy No Hard Feelings didn’t have to do much this year to become the number one topic of conversation for a few weeks: its controversial story was enough. Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence plays Maddie in the film, who is in her early thirties and plagued by money worries. She is supposed to seduce the stubborn student Percy (Andrew Barth Feldman) – on behalf of his parents.
The Sex comedy (which ultimately has surprisingly little to do with sex) was a respectable success at the rather comedic box office in the summer. In a press release has Netflix has now announced the launch on its German platform.

Yes, it’s true: that one age difference between Maddie and her “victim” Percy is blatant, as is the power difference between the unequally experienced pair. The behavior of Percy’s parents is of course also problematic: without a sex life, they see their son as an incomplete person. However, No Hard Feelings cleverly reflects all of these problems – more or less.
Because the riot is not neglected in the comedy. If you know Jennifer Lawrence primarily from the Hunger Games films, you’ve probably never seen her act as freely as she does in No Hard Feelings – including a now legendary naked beating scene in the middle of the film.
