Hamas will find it more difficult to organize new attacks even after a ceasefire, says Anders Ekholm, who has several sources within the IDF.
– It is probably quite messy in Hamas’ defense. We have received reports, not least in the last few days, that several commanders have been eliminated, he says.
For Israel, the pause in the fighting will probably be about gathering intelligence, working with undercover sources in the area.
May become more intense fighting after a ceasefire
But what will happen after a possible pause in the fighting? Anders Ekholm unfortunately believes that the battles will become even more intense.
– Then you have had a few days when you had nothing to do but gather intelligence on how the opponent behaves and where they are. So I’m afraid that they will turn up the heat even more.
