The top role-playing game on Steam in the “best rated” category is still “The Witcher 3”. And even 8 years after release, developer “CD Project Red” still manages to delight fans with small innovations.
This is how current Witcher 3 is:

“Create your own experiences”
The next innovation for “The Witcher 3” is probably a “Mod Editor”. This should appear free of charge in 2024, but only for the PC.
But what can this new mod editor do? A post on X states: “It will allow you to create your own experiences in the game.” You should be able to easily adapt content and even entire quests, or create something entirely of your own.
How has it been so far? Mods are of course nothing new in “The Witcher 3”. Numerous cool and sometimes really absurd mods can already be downloaded via platforms like “Nexusmods”.
However, most mods relate to smaller changes such as unlimited carrying capacity or tattoos for the witcher Geralt. Although there are already story mods, they are much more difficult to implement and therefore rarer.
The new mod editor promises improvement here, with more room for creative ideas. The management of mods already in use could also be made easier. However, more precise details about the type and scope of the editor are not yet known.
What does the community say? Many fans are excited and looking forward to the unexpected innovation.
“This is HUGE!!! I can already see the modding community making their own 30h+ game,” writes one user on X.
There is also hope with regard to the developer’s latest game. “If you do that for Cyberpunk soon, I’ll freak out.”
Are you already looking forward to the innovation? Or do you prefer to play “Vanilla”? Please let us know in the comments.
In addition to great characters, tragic stories and action-packed gameplay, one thing is one of the highlights of “The Witcher 3” for many fans: the card game Gwent. The in-game mini-game can distract from the daily duties of a monster hunter for many hours.
So it’s no wonder that there were several separate Gwent games later. The online version of “Gwent: The Witcher Card Game” ended unexpectedly. You can find out what happens next with the game here on MeinMMO:
