(Finance) – The fourth section of Regional Administrative Court of Palermo he agreed with Gesapairport management company Falcone Borsellinoregarding the appeal that had been presented by Nuctech Warsaw Company Limited against the awarding of the contract for baggage screening at the airport to the company Gilardoni.
The exclusion of the appellant company by the tender commission would have been determined by verify that a type of baggage could pass through thex-ray control equipment only with human intervention and not automatically.
The new car, SureScan x1000, supplied by the Gilardoni companyTSA 7.2 certified and Ecac standard 3.0 and 3.1 approved, was inaugurated last March and meets the mandatory parameters required by European and American safety regulations. This is the first of three SureScan x-ray machines, capable of processing up to 1,200 bags per hour. Palermo airport was the first to be equipped with it in Italy.
