Finland grabbed second place in the mixed message of the Falun World Cup. According to Perttu Hyvärinen, the race was a fun ice fishing race for the rest of the season.

Finnish Quartet Kerttu Niskanen, Perttu Hyvärinen, Iivo Niskanen and Krista Pärmäkoski finished his World Cup contract in mixed second place. The mixed message has been tried sometime before and is now being tried again on the sunny trails of Falun.
Would it be mixed to become the new World Cup race? The Finnish Quartet had no direct answer to that. Perttu Hyvärinen reminded that, in the end, the message was solved with a purely anchor section, as it was not possible to make even big differences on the five-kilometer-long track that accumulated Falun.
– Quite a fun ice fishing race for the rest of the season. You probably don’t need to ski in the middle of winter, but this way in Falun’s spring, Hyvärinen said in an interview with Sport.
On the closing day of the World Cup, there will also be another test race, the mixed pair sprint. Finland has two teams for this, Johanna Matintalo – Lauri Vuorinen and Jasmi Joensuu – Joni Mäki. There would have been other options, but this time, for example, the Niskaste siblings were skiing in a mixed message.
– It was fun to ski with my sister. Of course we have dreamed about it, but that couple could have been. Maybe then with the traditional sometimes…, Iivo Niskanen stated before Kerttu Niskanen could laugh with a laugh:
Kerttu Niskanen admitted that he would have had enough desire to go on the track, but he knew that it would have been worthwhile to go for a run on the pile-up track.
– There were tight situations and in the end the little performers were still able to crunch. Ihan ok-veto.
The Olympic winner’s touch winged Pärmäkoski
Krista Pärmäkoski carried the anchor cloak on her shoulders successfully, even though she had to do extra work after the change to catch the tip. On Saturday, Pärmäkoski thought with a laugh that the touch in the exchange may be a little different than in a regular message.
– Yes, there was a touch, we just had a bad exchange. There were other women in Iivo’s way and Iivo had to take the pace off completely. I dropped that hose last, but luckily it didn’t crash into it today. It was such a good touch from the Olympic champion today that it boosted momentum.
– This was a great success for the whole team, Iivo Niskanen praised his teammates.
The World Cup season is now over for these skiers. The long season has brought success, but at least Iivo Niskanen seemed to be waiting for the race to end.
“You’ve listened to Kertu’s screaming so much that it’s good to take a break from time to time,” Niskanen said when his older sister gave the sound sample again:
– Home! Kerttu Niskanen shouted at the end of the interview.
