Three charged after drugs, weapons seized: Sarnia police

Three people face charges after officers seized drugs and weapons from a Sarnia home, police say.

Vice and emergency response team entered the home in the 300-block of Mitton Street North with a search warrant Wednesday night, Sarnia police said Friday.

Officers seized a switchblade-style knife, replica handgun, an estimated $7,882 in suspected fentanyl, cocaine and crystal methamphetamine and $985 in cash, police said. Three suspects were arrested.

Three Sarnia residents are charged, police said:

  • A 25-year-old faces counts of possessing drugs for trafficking, possessing proceeds obtained by crime, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon and breaching probation.
  • A 24-year-old faces counts of possessing drugs, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possessing proceeds obtained by crime and unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.
  • A 25-year-old faces counts of possessing drugs, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.
