Jordan had to leave in the “Idol” quarterfinals

The evening’s themes were “love” and “viewer’s choice”. The participants sang partly a song dedicated to someone close to them and partly a song chosen for them by the viewers.

Cimberly Wanyonyis performed Bon Jovi’s “Bed of Roses” and dedicated the song to her mother. She barely left a dry eye and received a standing ovation from both the jury and the audience.

— It is very difficult to sing so emotionally, I would not have been able to do it. I am incredibly impressed, said Viktor Norén, who visited the “Idol” jury during the quarter-finals.

When the viewers had to decide, Cimberly sang Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman”, also to the great cheers of the jury and the audience – a nice revenge for the 18-year-old from Skellefteå, who was smoldering in last week’s Friday final.

Another one who received praise was Simon Näslund who performed “Säg det igen” by Lisa Nilsson on the theme of love and “I’ll catch an angel” by Ted Gärdestad when the viewers had to decide.

Louisa Hoxha also received nice praise from the jury, but despite that, it was she and Jordan Rawling who hung loose when the viewers’ votes had been counted.

But in the end it was clear – Louisa clinched the last semi-final place, and Jordan had to leave the program with a fifth place in his bag.
