After months of criticism, SD municipal councilor Christopher Larsson announced last week that the Karlskrona alliance accepts the demand for an independent investigation of the tours around Vattenborgen.
The work must be done quickly.
The assignment must first be directly procured and then presented orally as early as December 5.
The documents were completed yesterday and SVT Nyheter Blekinge can now reveal what the municipality wants the investigator to look at in particular.
“Has already reported”
In the letter, the municipality states information that is already known, such as that the lease agreement was not kept in a diary and that the chairman of the municipal board, Emma Swahn Nilsson (M), reported the same.
In addition, it appears that the valuations do not need to be redone because they do not rest on previous or no rental income for the property owner.
“Incomplete order job”
The opposition – which pushed the issue of an independent investigation – is not satisfied:
– It feels like an incomplete order job. It is important that the jävs issue is investigated in its entirety because we know that Emma Swahn Nilsson spends time privately with the municipal board’s deputy chairman Christopher Larsson, says opposition councilor Sandra Bizzozero (S).
Center Party group leader Magnus Larsson is also critical:
– We want an answer to whether the rent level can really be considered reasonable. It is decisive for valuation and final price.
“Reported what we ourselves have arrived at”
But according to municipal manager Håkan Petersson, the task of the independent auditor is to give as comprehensive a picture of the business as possible.
He does not see it as strange that the municipality has already drawn several well-known conclusions in its letter.
– We have reported what we ourselves have come to, but there may be things that we have missed.
The equality issue will be investigated widely, he assures.
– I will be particularly clear there if necessary. The concept of equalization is broad and must be explained thoroughly.
