Jacob Markström accounted for 34 saves in his first game after an injury. The Swede’s big play and decisive save at the end paved the way for Calgary’s 2–1 victory against Montreal.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper Jacob Markström missed two games with an upper body injury. But in the night’s NHL round, he was back and was tested several times again.
Salvage three points
The sweatiest was with just over a minute left in the third when he managed to pick a shot off Josh Anderssonwho received the puck served from his teammate Sean Monahan. The save meant that Calgary managed to defend their lead and salvage three points.

The win was much-needed for Calgary, which sits sixth in the standings with 12 points from 15 games. In addition to Markström, two other Swedes distinguished themselves during the match.
Forsberg’s goal
One of them, the hill Rasmus Anderssonaccounted for an assist when Connor Zary made it 2–1 for Calgary. And on the opposing side was Gustav Lindström the only one who managed to get a hole in the Swede when he made it 1–1 in the second period.

Another Swede who was noted for points during the night was Philip Forsberg, who scored his seventh goal of the season. However, it wasn’t enough for his Nashville, which fell 3–2 away to Anaheim.
