Swedish premiere in Gällivare with several stars.
But when it comes to prize money, the national competitions are low.

Among the Swedish national team riders, the levels of the prize money in Sweden receive criticism.
“Big gap”
– There is a very large gap. I hope it evens out. I think you should compete to perform and not have to choose based on what will be the best financially, says Linn Svahn.
Frida Karlsson calls for more to be done around the issue – and for more money to end up with those who need it.
– It is the level below the top that is in great need of the prize money, and I think more effort should be put into that. I still believe in working with the width in this way. There aren’t that many people who can make a living from skiing, and for those who are at the top, money rolls in from different directions, she says.
“Shall we have the checks?”
Marcus Grate chimes in and thinks that the large prize checks that are sometimes handed out feel a little mocking.
– Depending on which competitions it is, we have half a million to a million viewers for some. It feels a bit boring to stand there with a giant check that says 1000 kroner. Should we have the checks then, or can we raise the money instead?

– They put in just as much hard and good work as myself, she says, among other things.
