The cat Sivan, who lives outside Ronneby with the Fjällbrink family, was gone for a whole week. The family looked everywhere, they did a Facebook page, but she was nowhere to be found. In the end, the siblings Olle and Hedda Fjällbrink heard the wail from a deserted cabin.
When the cat Sivan was missing for a few days, the whole neighborhood got involved to find her. The Fjällbrink family searched and searched, but they did not find her.
– We were very worried, we went around looking. Both me and my little sister Hedda, mother, father and neighbors were out checking. We even looked in the ditch to see if she had been run over, says Olle Fjällbrink.
When Sivan, who otherwise returns home the same day, had been gone for a week, the family began to lose hope. But the siblings Olle and Hedda Fjällbrink went out once again with headlamps on Wednesday evening.
Heard the wailing from deserted cabin

– By chance when we were out looking, we met our other cat Svenne. And then we heard wailing in the distance. We thought it was Svenne, but when he came up to us, the sounds were still heard. We looked around a bit and then we found this abandoned house, and we heard noises from the chimney.
In a deserted cabin that no one had used for 15 years, Sivan was found – stuck in the chimney. Siblings Olle and Hedda Fjällbrink, together with a neighbor, fetched ladders and materials to fish out the cat, but she was too far down.
With a little sleuthing, they found the owner of the cabin and were allowed to borrow a key.
– We opened the soot hatch and it was styrofoam sitting there. We were able to remove the styrofoam and then she fell down there with soot and dirt, she was terrified.
“She didn’t smell so good”
Sivan could be brought home safely but did not receive the warmest reception from his cat brother Svenne.
– When Svenne came up and was going to smell her for the first time, he started clawing (retching) because she smelled so disgusting.
But now peace is back in the house with both cats healthy and well combed.
– We are just happy that she is home again, says Olle Fjällbrink.
