King Charles turns 75 – on his birthday, he starts a project to fight food poverty

King Charles turns 75 on his birthday he starts

Britain’s King Charles is celebrating his birthday by starting a project that aims to minimize food waste and prevent food poverty.

King of Britain Charles turns 75 today. In honor of his birthday, the king, who is interested in environmental issues, is starting a project called the Coronation Food Project, which aims to combat food poverty and prevent wastage.

– The need for food is as real and acute a problem as food waste. If there was a way to build a bridge between these two problems, it would solve two problems at once, King Charles wrote in the Big Issue magazine.

– My biggest hope is that the Coronation Food Project finds practical ways to do just that – reduce food waste and distribute surplus food to those who need it most, the king’s writing continued.

King Charles is visited by his wife the Queen on his birthday Camilla’s with the food waste distribution center. He plans to meet with representatives of major British food chains and find out how his project could help distribute food to those in need instead of it going to waste.

According to the project, 14 million people in Britain suffer from a lack of adequate food intake. As the cost of living rises, an increasingly large part of the population suffers from food poverty. According to British charities, the number of people using food banks has increased by 38 percent since March 2023.
