“Stop the atrocities against the hospitals and medical staff” and “Stop killing children” are written on signs and banners held by healthcare workers in the West Bank capital. They chant slogans in support of their professional colleagues in Gaza’s various hospitals.
– Even if Hamas were there, it does not justify the killing of all these children, says doctor Mustafa Barghouti to SVT’s correspondent.
Nurse Sara Ngum says that if Israel really knew that Hamas was under the hospitals, as they claim, they would attack and kill them.
– But they don’t know where they are, she claims.
Mustafa Barghouti emphasizes that they are against the killing of all civilians, whether they are Israelis or Palestinians.
– I spoke with an Israeli citizen who lost his daughter, and I feel sad about it. She said one thing: retribution and revenge is not a solution.
