In Lubumbashi, in the DRC, the collective Free Francois Beya denounces the violation of the rights of François Beya, former adviser to the Head of State, Félix Tshisekedi, in terms of security.
In a memorandum filed on Friday, March 11, at the office of the National Human Rights Commission in Lubumbashi, the women, members of the collective, demand that François Beya be brought to justice, if there are serious indications of guilt. against him, or that he simply be released, if nothing is proven.
They also recall that the Head of State Felix Tshisekedi had, at the beginning of his mandate, requested the removal of the cells from the National Intelligence Agency (ANR) where François Beya has been detained for more than a month.

“ We think that, according first to the will of the head of theEtat who had announced that it was first necessary to put an end to the dungeons at the ANR – the head of state who is in the process of advocating the rule of law – the rule of law supposes that each person prosecuted must be judged by his natural judge. But today, we see that François Beya has been in detention for more than 32 days without being brought before his natural judge. All that the mothers of our Free François Beya collective from Haut-Katanga wanted to do was to come and file their memo with the Human Rights Commission, representation of Katanga, so that François Beya’s rights are respected.
