Since the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, anti-Semitic acts have seen a very sharp increase in France, more than a thousand in one month, twice as many as in the year 2022. Faced with this worrying situation, the presidents of the Senate and the National Assembly, Gérard Larcher and Yaël Braun-Pivet, wanted to take an initiative by calling for a citizens’ march against anti-Semitism. But the political strategies of the parties have polluted the message.
