Now Hanna Aronsson Elfman has received the thumbs up from the doctor – and can, after all, start.
The 20-year-old has had problems with a foot injury and did not foresee a participation in the slalom premiere in Finnish Levi on Saturday. But after a new message from the doctor, a positive one, she is now ready.
On Thursday, she joined the national team and completed a training session that felt better than expected.
“I didn’t hurt my foot and therefore I have nothing to lose by starting in Levi. The preparations have not been like the other girls on the starting line, so it will be a bit of a mental exercise to go there with the attitude that I have nothing to lose. It’s simply super fun to be back and I love skiing,” she says in a press release.
