The Dutch basketball players have won the first match in the European Championship qualification comfortably against Austria. Emese Hof from Utrecht was the standout player for the Dutch team with 14 points and 18 rebounds. It was Hof’s first match for the national basketball team since her cruciate ligament injury that sidelined her for a year. In a sold-out Sporthallen Zuid in Amsterdam, the Dutch team won 64-45 thanks to Hof.
