The images are from tourist cameras, body cameras, surveillance cameras and car cameras and are shown to journalists in Sweden by the World Jewish Congress. The images have previously been shown to international media.
– It is very violent. There are people on the kibbutz, at this famous dance performance. They are shot dead. We see unimaginable violence. Families and children. Still images of the dead, says SVT’s Bert Sundström, who has seen the material.
His assessment is that the images are credible, that they are not perceived as manipulated.
– It is a direct picture of what reality looked like on this day.
“Wants to show the world what Hamas stands for”
– The ones we have seen in recent weeks are intensive bombings carried out by Israel against Gaza, where it is clear that thousands of innocent civilians are being killed. Then Israel tries to show “we cannot act in any other way”, this is what Hamas stands for, these are the people we are fighting against, says Bert Sundström.
