Warren Zaire-Emery’s locker room companions nickname him “Robot”. In an interview for Le Parisien at the start of the season, Zaire-Emery confirmed that he was regularly given this curious nickname, and gave an explanation:
“It’s true (that they call me that)! I’m always working, it’s in my personality. I’m in the gym all the time, with the physiotherapists or by myself. I do my stretching , bodybuilding, abs… I do it because I want to and I think it will pay off. If I work harder than the others, I tell myself that I will be more successful.” For now, the facts prove him right.
