While The Marvels seems doomed to resounding failure, there is another film released on November 8, 2023 which is experiencing dazzling success. It is Five Nights at Freddy’s, the horror film adapted from video games, also horrifying. With a launch costing $78 million in the United States, the film is quite simply the best start for a horror film in 2023. Its success surprised a lot of people, especially the industry which could not imagine itself without I have no doubt that word of mouth is also positive, especially since the film has not had good press (30% average on Rotten Tomatoes), while the public has a completely opposite opinion (88% spectator rating) . To date, Five Nights at Freddy’s has already grossed $215 million at the international box office, despite its budget being only $20 million. The cast of this film includes names such as Matthew Lillard (Scream), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta in The Hunger Games) and Elizabeth Lail (the You series), while it is Emma Tammi who was responsible for the production and Jason Blum on production, who is no stranger to horror films. We were also able to interview them a few weeks ago and this is the video that we offer you a little further down. As for the story, it tells us how Mike will become the night watchman of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, an abandoned restaurant, where strange phenomena take place at night. So the film was released today, the same day as The Marvels, November 8, 2023.
While #TheMarvels doesn’t seem to be a big hit at the box office, there’s a certain Five Nights at Freddy’s (yes, the film adapted from horror video games) which is a huge hit worldwide. 215 million dollars in 10 days for a budget of 20 million. The film is in theaters… pic.twitter.com/JKVEyif3hM
