When a patient was found lifeless in his bed in the summer of 2023, medical staff failed to initiate cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) – despite a promise from doctors.
The person died and now Region Västernorrland has submitted a lex Maria report to the Inspectorate for Care and Care (Ivo).
According to an internal investigation into the incident, there were “delays with, among other things, discussions regarding the possible start of CPR”.
