Fantasy sequel returns to the origins of the cult series
Frozen Empire follows the Ghostbusters reboot Ghostbusters: Legacy from 2021 and tells the story of the young ghost hunters around Grooberson (Paul Rudd). The sequel returns to where it all began: New York is gripped by a mysterious breath of ice that freezes people into statues. There seems to be a particularly brutal spirit behind the catastrophe.
Ghostbusters: Legacy helped the franchise return to its former glory after the Ghostbusters flop of 2016 and grossed around $204 million on a budget of $75 million (via The Numbers). Many fantasy fans will want the sequel to have a similar outcome.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is due on March 28, 2024 come to the cinema. In addition to Rudd, Stranger Things favorite Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace (The Haunting of Hill House) are also in front of the camera.
