As far as we know, it is the first municipality in the province of Utrecht and nationally speaking, IJsselstein is also an early addition. But according to spokesperson Dick de Jager, IJsselstein was not guided by other municipalities in this decision. “It is a generally felt trend to be very careful with X these days.” There are a few reasons that fueled the decision, says De Jager. “We simply see that we have much less contact with our residents via X, if we compare that with our other social media.”
