The need for construction in the coming years is roughly 67,000 homes per year.
– At the same time, 27,000 new homes are being started this year and the number will drop even more next year. So it is a very sharp slowdown, says Infrastructure and Housing Minister Andreas Carlson (KD) i Current.
According to the Minister of Housing, a solution to the problem is to start better construction of student housing – which is often people’s first home.
– There is a lot to do here and the government has made sure to get started on that, he says.
