Four people have been detained on suspicion of serious weapons offenses following a police operation in Upplands Väsby north of Stockholm this weekend.
On Saturday, three men in their 20s were arrested after a person suspected something was wrong and alerted the police. The three were suspected of having planned a murder and were arrested on suspicion of preparation for murder and aggravated weapons offences.
On Sunday evening, a woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the plans. She was arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting the preparation for murder and aggravated weapons offences.
During Tuesday, the four were requested to be detained. But the district court did not consider that the suspicions of preparation for murder or aiding and abetting that crime were strong enough for them to be detained for it.
However, all were detained on probable cause on suspicion of weapons offences. All four deny the criminal charges, according to their lawyers.
