This Apple Watch battery drain issue appears to be affecting a wide range of Apple Watch users, 9to5Mac reports. This is said to include the latest models such as the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2, as well as older models such as the Apple Watch Series 4. It is stated that affected users said that after updating to watchOS 10.1, their Apple Watch’s battery life started to drain abnormally fast.

According to the report, in a note shared with Apple Authorized Service Providers, Apple confirmed that it is aware of the battery drain issue affecting Apple Watch users. The company said a fix would be available “soon” via a software update for watchOS 10, but did not provide any information on when that update would be released.
According to complaints on social media, one user says that his Apple Watch Series 9 battery went from 100% to dead in just three hours. Another user reports that his Apple Watch Series 7 battery drained by 25% in just 30 minutes. On the other hand, a number of complaints have also emerged on Reddit and Apple’s Support Forums.
