Radio host Juan Jumalon, known as DJ Johnny Walker, was shot and killed by people who entered his studio room while he was broadcasting live on social media.

In the news reported by the local media based on police sources, it was stated that the attacker asked for permission to enter the studio where Jumalon was broadcasting in order to “announce something important on the air”.
The National Association of Journalists of the Philippines announced that the attack took place at Jumalon’s house, which he also used as a radio station.
Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos condemned Jumalon’s murder and stated that he ordered a “comprehensive investigation to quickly bring the perpetrators to justice.”
