His passion for public transport started when he was four years old. “My grandfathers both worked for the railways, as a four-year-old boy I stood with them watching the steam train go by. That made a big impact on me. After they went to the retirement home, they gave me their entire collection on public transport and I continued with that.” His entire bookcase is full of books about trams, trains and buses.
