Being a superhero is a slaughterhouse. At least that’s how it is with The Boys. However, a series that is focused on violence is now returning to Amazon Prime even outshines the adventures of Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and Co. Season 2 of the animated series Invincible starts streaming today.

Invincible is about teenager Mark Grayson (voice: Steven Yeun), who has to lead a double life: On the one hand, he is a normal teenager with acne and a broken voice, but on the other hand, he is also the son of the celebrated superhero Omni-Man (JK Simmons). When supernatural powers manifest themselves in Mark, he gets to know a bloodthirsty new world.

When it comes to explicit violence, Invincible is definitely in the same league as The Boys. Over and beyond There are fewer limits to the animated series right from the start: What requires tons of fake blood in the Billy Butcher adventure is limited here only by the imagination and budget of writers and animators.
The first season of the Amazon Prime series aired in March 2021, since Grayson’s last bloody adventures about two and a half years passed. The new season will have eight episodes that will appear weekly.
