The Sweden Democrats’ Jimmie Åkesson has periodically given his own speeches to the nation on the party’s YouTube channel.

And on Friday it’s time again.

This time the party leader targets the Arabic-speaking part of the population.

With the help of artificial intelligence, an Arabic-speaking Åkesson will repeat the message from the last speech, says the Sweden Democrats’ press director Oskar Cavalli Björkman to Aftonbladet.

– I will be completely straight and honest. I don’t think you should be here. For me, you are not welcome in Sweden, said Åkesson then.

SD’s communications manager Joakim Wallerstein speaks GP that you hope to reach a new target group.

– This can go home to people who are not normally reached by our messages, not because they are politically disinterested, but because they may not really follow Swedish-language media and can see it. But it can also be people who are abroad, but still have relatives in Sweden, he says.

Political scientist Jonas Hinnfors believes that it is ironic that SD has now begun to adapt to immigrant groups.

– Then you can be surprised when you translate Åkesson’s speech into Arabic, which is the group that you repeatedly think has the hardest time adapting and is the most problematic in a Swedish democratic context, he says to GP.
