Pope Francis will go to the climate summit COP28 in Dubai in early December.
– I’m going to Dubai. I think I will leave on December 1 and stay until December 3, he told the Italian television channel Rai1.
It is the first time a Pope has visited a climate summit.
COP28 is being held in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates from November 30 to December 12. In connection with the meeting, the first global review of how the countries’ efforts and commitments are in relation to the long-term goals of the Paris Agreement will be concluded.
