“He has forgotten where he comes from” – MontanaBlack attacks smaller Twitch streamer

There was a lot of excitement on

What kind of argument is this? On October 28, 2023, Marius aka “drecksuser” shared a clip from MontanaBlack on X, formerly Twitter. The 23-year-old has almost 68,000 followers there. Many users have probably seen his profile picture, Kermit as a Sith Lord, in a viral post.

However, he is also active on Twitch, where he has 14,600 followers. In the clip, MontanaBlack shows two posts from drecksuser – apparently unprovoked:

  • One from 2021, in which he aims to drive a Mercedes AMG within 2 years
  • A post from 2023 asking for financial support for a football ticket
  • MontanaBlack reads the second post in a disguised voice and bursts out laughing.

When a viewer asked whether the streamer had done anything to him, he replied: He simply didn’t like him, he would probably be allowed to say that.

drecksuser wrote about the clip on X that the whole action was embarrassing for MontanaBlack. The fact that the well-known streamer kept a screenshot specifically to expose him was “so disgusting”. The 35-year-old doesn’t even know what influence his reach has.

Yes, “Uncle Monte” also started small:

MontanaBlack is said to have used the infamous copyright strike

This is how the situation developed: A discussion quickly arose on X about which of the two streamers was in the right.

drecksuser emphasized that he didn’t want to sugarcoat his actions; they were not okay. However, MontanaBlack is in his mid-30s and he surely has better things to do than “laughing at some guy on the internet with 20,000 people,” said the 23-year-old (via twitter.com).

MontanaBlack did not comment on the situation on X, but appears to have reacted differently. Because instead of the clip, you can now only see the message that the video was removed after a report from the copyright owner.

Apparently he initiated a so-called DMCA or copyright strike. This is frowned upon among streamers because everyone knows how annoying it is when content is removed. Repeated strikes can also lead to account bans, meaning content creators lose important sources of income.

decksuser also shared a screenshot of the email notifying him of the removal on

It seems obvious that the strike was at least initiated by “Team MontanaBlack”, but to what extent the streamer himself was involved is unclear.

How is this discussed? While many MontanaBlack fans stick with “their” streamer, some X users are critical of the behavior. MontanaBlack probably wouldn’t have been able to build up such a fortune without the subscriptions and donations on Twitch (via twitter.com). In fact, MontanaBlack had already been criticized for his participation in so-called “begging streams” on TikTok.

One user refers to the 35-year-old’s difficult past and writes: “The guy has forgotten where he comes from.”

MontanaBlack is open about being involved in drug-related crime in his youth and even stealing from his grandparents. He later described this as probably his biggest mistake.

MontanaBlack should actually be able to understand drecksuser’s position, because he also feels that he is being treated unfairly at the moment. The streamer has the impression that he comes off badly in clip compilations and believes that it is something personal.
