Leave the hospital – will be bombed

Israel has called for the evacuation of al-Quds Hospital because it will reportedly be bombed, the Palestinian Red Crescent warns on Facebook.
“Since this morning, there have been raids 50 meters from the hospital,” the organization writes.

World Health Organization (WHO) Secretary-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus signs X that the data is “deeply troubling”.

“We repeat – it is impossible to evacuate hospitals full of patients without endangering their lives. According to international humanitarian law, healthcare must always be protected,” writes the WHO director.

Several attacks near the main hospital

During Sunday morning, Israel carried out attacks near Gaza’s largest hospital, Shifa.

The bombing has cut off most of the roads to the hospital in Gaza City, where tens of thousands of people have sought refuge from Israel’s intense attacks.

– It has become increasingly difficult to get to the hospital, says Mahmoud al-Sawah, who is at the hospital, on the phone.

– It seems as if they want to close off the area.

The hospital is also overflowing with patients injured in the Israeli attacks.

“Next phase in the war”

Israel claims that terrorist-labeled Hamas has placed a command center under Shifa, without presenting much evidence.

The attack comes after Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced on Saturday that it had “entered the next phase of the war”.

Overnight, the number of Israeli soldiers fighting inside the Gaza Strip has increased, according to Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari.

In the past, ground forces have made quick, nighttime raids into Gaza before returning to Israel. Now the ground forces remain in Gaza.
