The 63-year-old was murdered in cold blood with a rifle.
Several years later, the killer tells Missing People director Therese Tang all the details of the murder.
– I experienced him as a fragile little boy, she says in Efter fem.
At the end of summer 2012, the 63-year-old farmer and multi-millionaire Göran Lundblad disappeared without a trace from Förlösa outside Kalmar. His daughter reported him missing and stated that the father left the night before after an argument between them.
Suspicions were directed at the daughter and her boyfriend after another relative contacted the police and pointed her out. But the investigation went slowly and despite wiretapping of both the daughter’s and the boyfriend’s phones, the police got nowhere.
Told about the murder
Until one day a couple of years later when the Operations Manager for Missing People, Therese Tang, organizes yet another search operation for the missing Göran Lundblad. And wins the trust of Göran Lundblad’s son-in-law.
– He probably actually thought he could trust me. I supported him in the feelings he had, says Therese Tang in Efter fem.
“He confessed everything to me”
Therese Tang persuaded the man that no one will ever be convicted of the murder. And the son-in-law began to tell.
The man told what he and Göran Lundblad’s daughter had done. That they allegedly shot the farmer with a shotgun and then buried the body in a field. And Therese Tang gets parts of the story on tape.
– He confessed everything to me. Göran was also buried on the dot, says Therese Tang.
Unpleasant consequences
The daughter and the boyfriend were arrested, detained and sentenced to 18 years in prison each for the murder of Göran Lundblad.
And although Therese Tang is happy to have been able to contribute to solving the murder, not least so that Göran Lundblad’s family will have an end, it has also led to unpleasant consequences for her.
– I have received death threats, I have been told that I and my children will meet the same fate as Göran. I have had my car sabotaged twice and someone has been inside my house, says Therese Tang.
