She embodies the spirit of the Osage people. Poet Chelsea Tayrien Hicks is one of the main characters in “A Bridge Over the Ocean.” This film by Francis Fourcou allows us to better understand the history of the Occitans in France, but especially of the Osages, a people of North America. This Native American tribe living in Oklahoma almost disappeared due to the Indian genocide perpetrated by European immigrants.
