It is normally an unmanned fire station.
– But the staff happened to have an exercise nearby and there were staff inside the station. That’s how they discovered the fire, says alarm operator Monika Carlström at the security and alarm centre.
The alarm about the fire came at 09:23. It was burning with open flames in the kitchen with some smoke developing as a result.
The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished. No one is reported to have been injured in the incident.
