In the United States, the suspect in the mass shooting in Maine has been found dead, state officials confirm. The matter was previously reported by the media based on information they received from sources, and the county sheriff’s office announced the matter on Facebook.
State Security Authority Mike Sauschuck told a press conference local time on Friday evening that the suspect had died after shooting himself. At least Sauschuck still could not say when the suspect had shot himself.
CNN and ABC have said, based on information from their sources, that the man was found in a wooded area in Lisbon, southeast of Lewiston, near the suspect’s former workplace, from which he had been fired some time ago.
