(Finance) – The arrival of the first Airbus A321neo in the fleet of Ita Airways. The delivery of the aircraft, to be used in the medium range, is expected within the end of the year. The blue livery will bear the name of Massimiliano Rosolino, Italian swimmer and Olympic champion in Sydney in 2000.
Currently the ITA Airways fleet counts 79 Airbusmany of which are new generations such as the A220, A320neo, A330neo and A350.
The A321neo is characterized by boasts CO2 emissions per seat 22% lower and for the 50% reduction in acoustic impact compared to a previous generation aircraft of the same category.
It is configured in three classes: Business Class (12 seats), Premium Economy (12 seats) and Economy (141 seats, of which 12 Comfort Economy).
