Norwegian slalom star Lucas Braathen ends his career – only 23 years young.
That shock message gave Lucas Braathen at a press conference today. Only two days before the season premiere in Sölden.
– For the first time in at least six months I am happy and for the first time in many years I feel free. Anyone who knows me knows that freedom is one of my greatest sources of success and joy, says Braathen.

The reason for the decision is a conflict with the Norwegian Skiing Association. Braathen informed his teammates in the Norwegian national team of the decision on Thursday.
– It was hard. It was too damn.
Lucas Braathen has won five World Cup victories. Last year he won the overall slalom cup.
