An attack was carried out on US soldiers in the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) in northern Iraq. Erbil International Airport, which is located in the KRG and where US soldiers are located, was targeted with a UAV. Security sources stated that the UAV crashed in the Gezne region near the airport, and did not provide information on whether material damage or loss of life occurred as a result of the attack.
