The plan is part of a group of nine projects for the large-scale generation of sustainable energy, which also includes a similar solar project on the Haarrijnseplas. The municipality only fears that the payback model does not make the project on the Nedereindse Plas attractive to an external party. “This means that there is a good chance that there will be no interest from the market for a tender,” the council reports in a letter to the council. “Or that the winning party will leave the project for years waiting for better financial conditions.”
